به گزارش روابط عمومی حزب اعتماد ملی، پس از انتشار خبر حمله قلبی علیرضا بهشتی، آقای مهدی کروبی پنج شنبه غروب برای ابراز همدردی به دیدار خانواده او رفت. در این دیدار همسر آقای بهشتی گفت : بعد از آن که خبر حمله قلبی آقای بهشتی را منتشر کردیم از نهاد های اطلاعاتی – امنیتی با ما تماس گرفته و ما را تهدید کردند که اگر یک بار دیگر اقدام به انتشار اینگونه اخبار بکنید ، محدودیت های بیشتری برای ارتباط با علیرضا بهشتی اعمال می شود. از جمله تماس های تلفنی او قطع می شود و ملاقات هم نخواهد داده شد. درضمن خانم بهشتی گفتند که دیداری با یکی از بزرگان و علمای روحانی داشتیم. از ایشان درخواست کمک کردیم. اما ایشان گفتند که من هیچ کاری نمی توانم انجام بدهم. دستانم بسته است و اگر حرفی بزنم خود من را نیز بازداشت می کنند.ا
در این دیدار آقای کروبی با اظهار تاسف از آنچه که نسبت به آقای بهشتی روی داده است بیان کردند: برای اولین بار بعد از انقلاب پل ارتباطی ما با سیستم برای حل مشکل زندانیان قطع می باشد.ا
پس انتشار خبر دیدار آقای کروبی با خانواده آقای بهشتی ، یک جریده معلوم الحال مدعی شد رکورد بیشترین زمان خواب توسط کروبی شکسته شد. این روزنامه که توسط نیروهای افراطی که به نظام و انقلاب ضربات اساسی زده اند، اداره می شود آورده است:کروبی ظاهرا از یاد برده ارتباط با سیستم و امکان رایزنی مربوط به دوره ای بود که تبدیل به بلندگوی بی اختیار دستگاه های جاسوسی اسراییل و آمریکا و انگلیس نشده بود. ظاهراً وی ۸-۷ ماه خواب بوده و تازه بیدار شده و فهمیده چه خبط بزرگی کرده است.ا
به گزارش روابط عمومی حزب اعتماد ملی آن کسانی خواب هستندکه سالهاست حقوق مردم را نادیده می گیرند و نمی فهمند که بازداشت فرزندان این انقلاب مانند علیرضا بهشتی و آوردن آنها با لباس زندانی و دمپایی، در دادگاه انقلاب و زیر عکس شهید بزرگوار آیت الله بهشتی چه معنایی می دهد. آن کسانی خوابند که نمی دانند چه اتفاقی افتاده است تا بعد از ۲۷ سال در ختم شهید بهشتی نیروهای ضد شورش با باتوم و سپر باید مستقرباشند و این مراسم تحت شدیدترین تدابیر امنیتی برگزار شود. آن کسانی خوابند و هنوز بیدار نشده اند که جمعیت ۳ میلیونی مردم را در ۲۵ خرداد ندیدند و سکوت با معنای آنها را نشنیدند. آن کسانی خوابند که به رغم کشتار در بازداشتگاه کهریزک که ننگی برای این انقلاب شد ، عامل اصلی آن را در کنار خود می نشانند و از او تقدیر می کنند و در مصونیت آهنی قرار می دهند.آیا می خواهید بدانید که دیگر چه کسانی خوابند و چه زمانی وقت بیداری آنهاست؟ انتخابات آزاد برگزار کنید یا اجازه برگزار یک تجمع آزاد و امن به هواداران آقایان کروبی و موسوی بدهید تا بیبند مردم چگونه بیدارتان می کنند. پس لازم است بدانید که آقای کروبی محکم و استوار ایستاده و برای تمامی سخنان خود سند دارد.ا

For instance all his phone communications will be stopped and visits will not be permitted.” Mrs. Beheshti also said that they had a meeting with one of the distinguished spiritual leaders and asked for his help but he said that he could not do anything and that his hands were tied and if he had said anything he would have been imprisoned himself.
In this meeting Mehdi Karoubi while expressing his sorrow over what has happened for Dr. Beheshti, said: “For the first time after the revolution our means of communication with the system to solve prisoners’ problems have been severed.”
